Aarzoo [1999]

Aarzoo

I've always liked this film [it's a really good entertainer IMO] so I was happy when my sister bought the DVD last week. I watched it today after quite a long time, but loved it the same as I always have.

Interesting story [though the end always irritates me, because I just wish Amar had stayed alive It would've been happier, it was way too sad to kill off his character!] and one of the highlights of the movie [aside from the star cast and their performances of course] is the music. The music is awesome - I love each and every song! My favourite songs would definitely be Ab Tere Dil Mein, Main Aa Raha Hoon & Saajan Saajan.

I love the cast. Akshay-Saif are always a pleasure to watch - they're one of the best pairing's ever! And Madhuri made a nice pair with both of them too.

Saif's performance stole the show. He was fantastic and played the role perfectly, also he looked adorable! Akshay was brilliant as always and performed extremely well especially in the second half. Madhuri suited the role well and did complete justice to it, plus she looked really pretty. Though I didn't like her in some of the english outfits she wore in the first half.

Overall, Aarzoo is a typical 90s film with all the ingredients for pure masaala entertainment. It's not really a good film cinematically, but it's a great time pass and I really enjoyed watching it for the nth time!
